Shady Spex is the culmination of the friendship between Babs' brother, drummer Sweet Joey Valentine, and DJ Jonathan Toubin. The duo endeavored to create an economically-priced quality sunglass brand based on styles worn by their rock 'n roll icons and friends, that feature quality protective lenses and recycled materials. This aviator style draws inspiration from the movies Taxi Driver and Apocalypse Now, '60s NASA astronauts, and rock 'n roll references, with sexier contours, straight "bayonet" style arms, and signature snakes subtly laser etched onto each 54mm polarized lens.
